Bhav Spandan Youth Festival 2024
Bhav Spandan Youth Festival 2024
Hello learners ,On November 17th, 18th, and 19th, Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University celebrated its 32nd annual Youth Festival, aptly named "Bhavspandan Yuvak Mahotsav." This grand event, hosted by the Physical Education Department, brought together young talents, creative spirits, and enthusiastic spectators from across the university's faculties and colleges. The three-day extravaganza was an incredible showcase of art, culture, sports, and intellectual pursuits, reflecting the diverse skills and vibrant energy of the students.
Kalayatra :
In "Kalayatra," each group of participants from each college has to present on a particular theme.
The title of our Kalayatra presentation was "સાંપ્રત સમયમાં શિક્ષણની હાલત" ("The Current State of Education"), which we thought was appropriate. However, according to some Youth Festival managers, it was a bit problematic as it sounded negative. Additionally, they felt that some slogans might have directly affected certain individuals, even though our aim was not to hurt anyone's feelings. Consequently, we had to remove some slogans, which was a disappointing experience, especially as it happened at the beginning of the Youth Festival.
Skit :
As a participant and observer, I found each day brimming with moments that made this festival memorable. Here’s a glimpse into the excitement and the variety of events that unfolded.
Among the many events, I participated in a skit—a 10-minute drama—along with five other girls.
1.Pallavi Parmar
2.Krupali Belam
3.Bhumi Mahida
4.Smiriti vadher
5.Rutvi pal
6.Kusum Sarvaiya
Every step, from selecting the topic and preparing our script to refining each moment, was truly memorable. Alpa Madam, a PhD scholar in the department, guided and directed us with care, helping us bring our story to life. Along with her, Ronak Sanghavi and Chirag sir were the helping hand for us.
Our skit, titled "बाकि सब ठीक, बस चल रहा हैं!" focused on highlighting current social issues affecting society. Through our performance, we aimed to spark conversations and raise awareness about these pressing concerns.
Almost every performance addressed pressing social issues, bringing attention to topics like rape, harassment, the high cost of education, and the mental health struggles faced by ordinary people. Performances also highlighted the impact of social media, the prevalence of domestic violence, the importance of girls' education, and the issue of corruption. Each act aimed to shed light on these realities, sparking awareness and encouraging meaningful conversations within the audience.
